The Wizard of Oz 4D Movie Experience

Come to the Wizard of Oz 4D Movie Experience at The Bistro at the Village Green on March 13-15, 2015. Follow us down the yellow brick road with a cast of colorful characters! We will show the movie and interact during key scenes with a live cast. There will be popcorn, beverages and a child-friendly meal. Stick around after the show for your chance to take photos with the cast. Showtimes are Friday, March 13 at 6:00pm, Saturday, March 14 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm, Sunday, March 15 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm. Cost is $25 per ticket. Tickets go on sale February 4, 2015. Prepayment is required. We accept Visa and MasterCard over the phone.

The annual student exhibition is an ongoing tradition at the JCMA, and once again we are pleased to present this years group of art students and their finest work from the past academic year. The exhibition showcases a diversity of styles and variety of media including drawing, photography, digital art, book arts, and ceramics. Professors Bethany Benson, Monika Malewska, Pat Howard, Jason Gorcoff, and Louis Reilly foster creative thinking and a dedication to craft in their students, and we invite you to join us in celebrating their vision.

Lunch and Learn- Bicycling

Come to the 4 and More Cultral District Lunch and Learn series on Monday, March 9 at noon at the at the Huntingdon County Historical Society Exhibit Gallery on the corner of 4th and Allegheny Streets. The program will be about the history and future of bicycling in Huntingdon, and will be presented by Rothrock Outfitters Energies Coordinator Evan Gross. The presentation will look at turn-of-the 20th century bicycle manufacturing that took place in Huntingdon, as well as popular bicycle routes that existed in the area at various time in history, featuring photographs from the Huntingdon County Historical Society archives and others.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to purchase lunch for $7.50 by calling Stone Town Café 814-506-8356 before 11:00 AM the day of the event. The lunches will be waiting for those that reserve them at the event location, and can be paid for in cash.

Maple Harvest Festival

Shaver's Creek has held this annual festival since 1984 to celebrate the first harvest of the new year and help people learn about the maple sugaring process, both in colonial times and the present day. At the festival you can:

*learn how to identify and tap sugar maple trees and visit the Sugar Shack to see sap being turned into syrup!
*watch costumed interpreters demonstrate sugaring techniques used by Native Americans, pioneers, and modern-day farmers
*enjoy live music and storytelling
*see live birds of prey and reptile shows
*savor all-you-can-eat pancakes and maple syrup
